برای پرهیز از کاهش دقت ناشی از نوع float، توصیف‌گرهای پرونده زمان‌سنج امکان مشخص کردن انقضای اولیه و بازه زمانی را به‌صورت نانوثانیه‌های عدد صحیح از طریق نسخه‌های _ns توابع فراهم می‌کنند.
